These sealed ultrasonic module has a serial port mode that can be accessed by adding a resistor.
check the datasheet for proper resistor values. the one i used for this example is a 120kohm resistor.

Mini MP3 Player without the SD card!
i'm still about to proc... evaluate this module that has a built-in flash memory chip, accepts MP3 and WAV file. can be controlled via Serial Uart.

PCB: what about autorouters? anyways?
Autorouters are the bane of pcb layout artist, management wants it but engineers loathe the auto-generated pcb layout.
It is OK to use the built-in autorouters in any PCB software it is more used in high speed layouts, parallel buses, and digital signal. but it should be used sparsely as it can make unpredictable traces.
auto-placement and auto-routing can also estimate the time for a pcb layout artist, also have a forward view to which parts are best placed in the pcb or just a quick 2nd opinion which that one route can be placed.
power rails, controlled impedance, RF controlled impedance, high speed differential pairs (usb, sata, mipi, ldvs etc) should never be auto-routed since this is placed carefully by hand.
auto-routing is a GOOD tool to have in the pcb tool box. but as in any AI does. it will just to what it is instructed it to do. apart from that... it's like letting a 3-year-old kid with crayons placing layout on your board.
